As I lie here in my bed,
Waiting for death to take me,
My mind turns to darker thoughts I didn't know were inside me.
The lights are of,
And nobodies home,
Yet shadows lurk inside me,
For every moment that I have have past,
A scar is left on my body.
A scar is a loved one,
A friend that is gone,
I look at my scars as a reminder to be strong.
